BK Group Plc has appointed Dr. Uzziel Ndagijimana as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 14, 2024, following the resignation of Beata Habyarimana. The appointment, approved by the Board of Directors on August 13, 2024, is subject to regulatory approvals.
Jean Philippe Prosper, Chairman of the Board of Directors, expressed confidence in Dr. Ndagijimana’s ability to lead the company, citing his extensive experience in the economic and financial sectors. “Dr. Uzziel’s leadership will be instrumental in driving BK Group’s strategy and future growth,” Prosper said. Dr. Ndagijimana will collaborate closely with the CEOs of BK Group’s five subsidiaries: Bank of Kigali Plc, BK General Insurance, BK Capital, BK TecHouse, and the Executive Secretary of BK Foundation.
Dr. Ndagijimana, an economist with a strong financial background, previously served as Rwanda’s Minister of Finance and Economic Planning. His expertise is expected to bolster BK Group’s operations and growth ambitions.
The Board also expressed its gratitude to Beata Habyarimana for her dedication and contributions over the past two years.
