Bruce Melodie Returns to Studio After Successful US Tour

After a successful musical tour across the United States, including performances at the ‘iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour’ in Miami and Dallas, Rwandan vocalist and artiste Bruce Itahiwacu, also known as Bruce Melodie, has returned to the studio to produce fresh music.

The ‘Katerina’ hitmaker announced his return on Monday, February 12, through X, formerly known as Twitter, stating his excitement to deliver new music after months of focusing on other aspects of life.

“Back in the studio!” Bruce captioned a picture posted on his social media platforms.

The news was met with enthusiasm by Bruce Melodie’s fans, who have eagerly awaited new releases from the artiste since he dropped the remix of “Funga Macho (When She is Around)” featuring reggae icon Shaggy. The remix sparked his US musical tour, which garnered global interest.

Bruce Melodie is also reportedly working on his debut album, which is being produced by some of Rwanda’s biggest producers, including Madebeats, who currently resides in the UK.

Melodie’s music career took a significant turn when he collaborated with the legendary Shaggy on the remix of “Funga Macho,” earning him a spotlight in the global music industry. His US media tour included appearances on some of the biggest talk shows and radio stations in the country, including the Elvis Duran show.

At 31 years old, Bruce Melodie has become the biggest export of Rwandan music and the only local artiste with over a million followers on Instagram. Born and raised in Kigali, Rwanda, Bruce Melodie has cemented his name with his diverse talents as a singer-songwriter, composer, and producer. Renowned for his distinctive blend of R&B, Pop, Afrobeats, and Amapiano, Melodie has achieved remarkable success on the African music scene, earning accolades such as the Superstar Award from Primus Guma Guma 8, the most prestigious music competition in Rwanda, and the Trace Award 2023 for Best Rwandan Artist.
