The fourth edition of the contemporary art exhibition “Forever Is Now” opened at the iconic Giza Pyramids, showcasing stunning large-scale installations from 12 international artists.
The open-air exhibition features a range of artworks, including futuristic metallic sculptures, vibrant mosaic walls, and reflective modernist frames that interact with the ancient landscape surrounding the 4,500-year-old pyramids.
“This year’s exhibition pays tribute to the archaeologists who continue to amaze us with new discoveries each year,” said Nadine Abdelghaffar, founder of Art D’Egypte, which curates the show.
According to Abdelghaffar, “Forever Is Now” is the only exhibition of its kind to display contemporary art in proximity to the pyramids.
Korean artist Ik-Joong Kang, who presented a colorful installation incorporating various languages and global symbols, described his work as a “spiritual awakening.” He added, “The pyramid is not just an ancient structure; it is a spirit, a messenger, a connector, and a mediator.”
Other notable installations include “Padma/Lotus” by Indian artist Shilo Shiv Suleman, featuring large lotus-shaped sculptures, and “Monochrome RGB” by Italian artist Luca Boffi, which consists of minimalist frames set against the backdrop of the pyramids.
The exhibition will be open to the public until November 16.
