Denmark will upgrade its Project Office in Kigali to a full embassy in 2025, marking a significant enhancement in relations between Rwanda and Denmark, the office announced Monday, September 2.
The new embassy will deepen diplomatic ties following recent agreements between the two nations. In January, Rwanda and Denmark signed a pact to collaborate on climate change mitigation and environmental conservation, reflecting their joint commitment to global challenges.
Currently, Rwanda hosts over 40 embassies and high commissions, along with about 20 consulates. Additionally, more than 70 non-resident diplomatic missions are accredited to the country.
