Rwandan singer and producer Fred Robinson Mugisha, known professionally as Element Eleéeh, has been submitted for consideration at the 67th GRAMMY Awards. His latest release, “Milele,” is entered in the Best African Music Performance/Producer category.
Element Eleéeh, who is managed by 1:55AM, announced the news on his social media platforms on Tuesday, August 3. “I am thrilled to announce that I have been submitted for the 67th GRAMMYs. This is a historic moment for us. Thank you to my team in the U.S. and in Rwanda,” he posted on Instagram.
The GRAMMY Awards, one of the highest honors in the music industry, recognize global excellence in music performance and production. A nomination would be a significant milestone for Rwanda, showcasing the country’s music scene on an international stage.
To be considered for a GRAMMY, recordings must be submitted by Recording Academy members during the submission period. Only works released between September 16, 2023, and August 30, 2024, are eligible.
The 67th GRAMMY Awards are scheduled for early 2025, with nominees expected to be announced later this year.
