Infinix Mobile Rwanda launched the HOT 40 series, which includes the HOT 40 Pro, HOT 40, and HOT 40i models, on January 10. The goal is to provide gamers with affordable smartphones that enhance their gaming experience.
These phones are powered by the Helio G99 processor and feature Infinix’s XBOOST technology, allowing gamers to customize their settings for optimal performance. The series includes a rear camera setup with 108MP+2MP(Macro)+AI and a front camera with 32MP for clear images. The 2MP macro lens is perfect for close-up shots, while the 32MP front camera excels in group photos and selfies, even in low light.
The HOT 40 series has a 120Hz FHD+ screen for a smooth user experience. The Magic Ring feature keeps users informed about face lock status, charging status, and voice calls. The phones also support 33W Enduring FastCharge technology, with real-time temperature monitoring for efficient charging. The Hot 40i is priced at Rwf135,000, and the Hot 40 Pro is priced at Rwf245,000.
In a press interview, Gilbert Bizimana, Marketing Manager at Infinix Rwanda, highlighted the series’ improvements in processor, display, camera features, and software. The phones offer rapid charging, expansive storage, and a powerful processor, making them suitable for gaming and entertainment.
Rene Nzabakira, Senior Manager Devices and Digital at MTN Rwanda, praised the success of the MTN and Infinix partnership. The Hot 40i and Hot 40 Pro will be part of MTN Rwanda’s Macye Macye initiative, offering customers a convenient payment plan and 15GBs of complimentary internet over three months.
During the launch event, Infinix Rwanda introduced musician Kenny Sol as the phones’ ambassador. They also revealed plans to introduce a range of smart devices in the first quarter of 2024, including airpods, smartwatches, laptops, power banks, and more.
