Kagame of Rwanda arrived in Conakry on Monday, May 13, for a visit focused on enhancing bilateral relations between Rwanda and Guinea-Conakry. During his visit, Kagame engaged in discussions with President Mamadi Doumbouya aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two nations.
This meeting follows President Doumbouya’s official three-day visit to Rwanda in January, signaling a commitment from both leaders to deepen ties between their respective countries.
According to a statement from Urugwiro Village, the official residence of the President of Rwanda, the two Heads of State conducted a tête-à-tête meeting where they explored avenues to bolster existing productive bilateral cooperation. Discussions centered around various sectors including digitization, trade, and investments.
In January, both Kagame and Doumbouya had expressed mutual interest in advancing relations between Rwanda and Guinea for the betterment of their citizens.
The meeting underscores the importance of diplomatic engagements in fostering mutually beneficial partnerships between nations. As both Rwanda and Guinea-Conakry strive for economic growth and development, such high-level dialogues serve as platforms to explore collaborative opportunities that can drive progress in key sectors.
