As the anticipation builds, the second edition of the Karisimbi Entertainment Awards, organized by Karisimbi Events, is gearing up to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Rwandan celebrities in the local showbiz scene. The event provides Rwandans with the opportunity to cast their votes for their favorite entertainers who have made significant contributions to the industry throughout the year.
Scheduled to take place at Onomo Hotel Kigali on December 16, the annual awards ceremony is designed to acknowledge key players across various sectors of Rwanda’s entertainment realm, spanning cinema, music, and fashion. Emmanuel Mugisha, the visionary behind the event, shared insights into this year’s edition, emphasizing its inclusivity and the recognition of talent in over 20 categories.
Mugisha stated, “We have added hospitality categories because they play a big role in the success of entertainment events. Also, we continue to create a platform for our award winners that will motivate them and also inspire the rest to strive for perfection and excellence in the entertainment industry.”
Voting for the Karisimbi Entertainment Awards commenced on November 30 and will remain open until December 8, accessible through Watch.rw. The voting process comprises a balanced approach, with 60 percent of the votes stemming from online participants and the remaining 40 percent from a panel of judges.
In the Best Female Artist category, competitors include Bwiza, Ariel Wayz, Vestine & Dorcas, Alyn Sano, and Marina. Meanwhile, the Best Male Artist category features nominees such as Chriss Eazy, Juno Kizigenza, Danny Nanone, Kenny Sol, Bruce Melodie, and Christopher.
The Karisimbi Entertainment Awards not only aim to spotlight individual achievements but also to inspire continuous growth and excellence within Rwanda’s vibrant entertainment industry. As the countdown to the awards ceremony begins, all eyes are on the talent that will be recognized and celebrated.
