Kivumbi King has announced plans for a European tour to promote his latest album, ‘Ganza.’ Confirming the news to The New Times on Tuesday, May 21, Kivumbi emphasized that the tour aims to bring his new music to a broader audience.
Premiered on May 17, the eight-track album ‘Ganza’ includes several hit songs such as ‘Wait,’ which has become Kivumbi King’s most streamed song, as well as ‘Impanvu’ and ‘Muhoracyeye,’ featuring Riderman.
“We are excited to bring this work of art to our fans in Europe. As I have said before, we intend to conquer through Ganza and this is just the beginning. Expect much more from me this year,” said Kivumbi.
The tour will kick off in Lyon, France, on June 1, followed by performances in Hanover, Germany, on June 15, and Warsaw, Poland, on June 29. Kivumbi hinted that additional cities might be added to the European tour before he returns to Kigali for the main album launch concert.
The ‘Ganza’ tour comes at a time when Rwandan artists are enjoying increased success in the western world. Currently, Bushali and B-Threy are also touring Europe, and gospel artist Israel Mbonyi is set to headline a show in Brussels, Belgium, on June 8.
Kivumbi King last performed in Europe in May 2022 after releasing his breakthrough album ‘DID,’ which significantly boosted his music career. His new album ‘Ganza’ is currently trending at number one on AudioMack, a popular music streaming platform. Additionally, Kivumbi recently signed a three-year deal with the Nigerian music label Deealoh Entertainment, which now manages and distributes all his projects.
Kivumbi King first gained prominence in the Rwandan music industry with his debut solo release, ‘Madam.’ Now, with his latest album and upcoming European tour, he continues to solidify his position as a leading artist in the region.
