In a landmark move for Rwandan musician Kivumbi King, he has signed a three-year contract with Nigerian music label Deealoh Entertainment. Kivumbi confirmed to The New Times that he has officially joined the company, which already works with rising artist Triqa Blu.
When asked to confirm the deal with the label, he simply responded, “Yes, it is true we have signed.” While the details of the agreement remain under wraps, excitement surrounds the partnership, with Kivumbi promising to share more information soon.
Kivumbi’s recent signing with Deealoh Entertainment adds to the growing presence of Rwandan musicians in Nigeria’s thriving music industry. Platin P, who signed with the ‘One Percent’ music label, opened the door for Kivumbi and potentially more Rwandan talent to expand their reach beyond their home country’s borders.
Kivumbi King, known for his hit songs ‘Wait’ and ‘Madam,’ has been making waves in the music industry since his debut album ‘A Sin Called Dreaming.’ The Rwandan singer continued to rise with the release of his acclaimed album ‘DID’ in 2021, featuring collaborations with regional artists like Nutty Neithan, Kirikou Akili, and Bushali.
