The Rwanda National Police confirmed on October 29 the arrest of Miss Rwanda 2022, Divine Nshuti Muheto, over alleged serious traffic violations.
Muheto faces multiple charges, including driving without a license, driving under the influence of alcohol, damaging public infrastructure, and fleeing the scene. Police noted in a post on X that this is not her first involvement in such offenses.
Her actions have raised concerns about public safety, as repeated traffic violations continue to pose a risk to the community. Following her arrest, a case file has been submitted to the prosecution for further legal proceedings.
Muheto was crowned Miss Rwanda 2022 on March 19, succeeding Grace Ingabire.
