Norrsken House Kigali has expanded its campus to accommodate 1,500 impact entrepreneurs, along with world-class talent and employees building the future of technology businesses. Over 80% of the new 4,000 square meter space has already been occupied.
The move-in ceremony coincided with Founders’ Friday, a monthly event showcasing innovation and entrepreneurship. This edition highlighted smart city innovation in Rwanda.
Launched in 2023 during Norrsken Africa Week by President Paul Kagame and Norrsken Foundation founder Niklas Adalberth, Norrsken House Kigali has grown into the largest hub for impact and technology entrepreneurship in East Africa. The expansion, part of a $20 million investment, underscores Rwanda’s growing role in tech solutions for Africa.
“Norrsken is a story about how people come together to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in order to create the solutions that will transform how we live and work in the future. Our expansion is a testament to the fact that the Norrsken message resonates and people are taking action. And naturally, we are excited to support this ingenuity and entrepreneurship,” said Elie Habimana, Managing Director, Norrsken East Africa.
The expanded campus offers more support programs and a larger network for startups in Kigali and East Africa.
Norrsken operates hubs in Stockholm, Kigali, and Barcelona, and its funds have raised over $500 million to support entrepreneurs who combine profit with global impact.
Founded by Niklas Adalberth, co-founder of Klarna, Norrsken is a non-profit foundation dedicated to positive change through entrepreneurship and technology.
