Sean “Diddy” Combs may soon face new allegations from over 100 individuals, according to Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee. Buzbee announced at a press conference Tuesday that his firm, The Buzbee Law Firm, in partnership with the AVA Law Group, has been retained by at least 120 people who claim to have been victimized by Combs.
Buzbee stated that the forthcoming civil suits will include allegations of violent sexual assault, rape, sexual abuse, and other misconduct. He noted that some claims involve incidents of facilitating sex with controlled substances, false imprisonment, and the sexual abuse of minors.
Combs was indicted on federal charges, including sex trafficking, earlier this month and has pleaded not guilty.
According to Buzbee, the group of 120 individuals is evenly split between men and women, with 25 minors among them. The alleged incidents reportedly took place in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami, often during parties and music industry-related auditions.
In response, Erica Wolff, an attorney for Combs, issued a statement emphasizing that he denies all allegations of sexual abuse, including those involving minors. “Mr. Combs looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court,” Wolff said, adding that the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.
Buzbee indicated that his firm plans to file these cases within the next 30 days as they continue gathering evidence. He noted that over 55% of the individuals have reported the alleged conduct to authorities or hospitals, and his firm is actively collecting those records.
Buzbee clarified that the cases will not be filed as a class action; rather, each will be pursued individually in various states. Other individuals and entities may also be named as defendants in these suits, depending on the evidence gathered.
Since November, Combs has faced 12 civil suits, with 11 directly accusing him of sexual assault. While he has settled one claim, he has not yet responded to all ongoing lawsuits. Currently, he is detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, awaiting trial on three charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering. His attorneys are appealing his detention and seeking his release.
Sources have indicated that many of the accusers had met with federal investigators during a lengthy investigation. In March, Combs’ residences in Los Angeles and Miami were searched by the Department of Homeland Security Investigations.
Authorities have stated that the investigation into Combs remains active.
