Paul Pogba’s Four-Year Doping Ban Cut to 18 Months

Paul Pogba has successfully appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, resulting in his four-year doping ban being reduced to 18 months. This decision allows the Juventus midfielder to resume his career next year, having begun the ban in February.

The 31-year-old tested positive for testosterone in August last year and received the maximum penalty from Italy’s anti-doping court. The original four-year suspension raised concerns about potentially ending his career.

In addition to the ban, Pogba was also fined in March.

Following the reduction of his suspension, Pogba expressed relief, stating, “The nightmare is finally over,” and shared his excitement about the prospect of pursuing his dreams again.

“It’s been an extremely painful time in my life because everything I’ve worked so hard for has been put on hold,” the 2018 World Cup winner added.

Pogba thanked his fans for their support and expressed eagerness to return to the pitch.
