Rwandan President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame arrived in Ankara on Wednesday for a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Rwanda and Türkiye.
On Thursday, Kagame is set to meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for a private meeting, followed by a bilateral session involving their delegations, according to a statement from Village Urugwiro, the Rwandan presidency.
The leaders are expected to address the press during a joint news conference following their discussions.
As part of the visit, Kagame and the First Lady will also pay tribute at Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and first president of modern Türkiye.
Later in the day, a State Dinner will be held in their honor, marking the conclusion of the official visit.
