Rwandan President Paul Kagame arrived in Abu Dhabi on Monday, January 13, to participate in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW).

On Tuesday, President Kagame will attend the ADSW 2025 Opening Ceremony, joining UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, other heads of state, policymakers, and delegates. Kagame will also take part in the 16th Zayed Sustainability Prize awards ceremony, which recognizes small and medium enterprises, nonprofit organizations, and global high schools for their innovative, impactful, and sustainable solutions.

Additionally, Kagame is scheduled to deliver a keynote address on the first day of the ADSW Summit, alongside other invited heads of state and government.

Spearheaded by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Masdar, ADSW brings together global leaders, sustainability experts, scientists, and innovators to discuss solutions for addressing global challenges, advancing clean energy, and promoting sustainable socioeconomic progress.

The theme for the 2025 ADSW Summit is “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” which will focus on leveraging advanced technologies to build a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous future.
