Rayon Sports Captain Kevin Muhire Demands Rwf40m to Renew Contract

Rayon Sports captain Kevin Muhire is reportedly seeking Rwf40 million to extend his contract with the club, amid efforts by Rayon Sports to facilitate his move abroad.

Muhire, who was named Rayon’s player of the season, despite joining the club on a short-term deal in October, is set to see his contract expire on June 30.

The Rwanda international recently expressed his contemplation of leaving the club at the end of the season, following the team’s failure to qualify for Champions League and Confederation Cup football.

Sources close to Times Sport reveal that while the club aims to offer Muhire a new contract, the player is adamant about staying only if Rayon Sports meets his demands of a Rwf40 million signing bonus and a monthly salary of Rwf2,500,000.

Meanwhile, Rayon Sports faces the potential departure of Elie Ganijuru and Junior Didier Mucyo, with the latter reportedly linked with a move to Police FC.

Mugunga Eyes Saudi Arabia Move

In other transfer news, SC Kiyovu forward Yves Mugunga is poised to join Saudi Arabia’s top-tier side, Al Jubail, on June 1, pending successful negotiations.

Reliable sources suggest that Mugunga, a former APR FC striker, could make the move as early as next month following the expiration of his contract with SC Kiyovu at the end of the season.
