Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov arrived in Beijing on Monday for an official visit, where he engaged in military and defense discussions aimed at strengthening ties between Russia and China.
During the talks, Belousov emphasized the importance of the relationship, stating, “Friendly relations between Russia and China maintain a high dynamic of development, are expanding in all directions, and are at an unprecedented level.” He added that Russian-Chinese military cooperation is crucial for enhancing defense capabilities and maintaining global and regional stability.
China’s defense leadership expressed a mutual desire to promote military cooperation between the two nations.
Belousov’s visit coincided with China’s military announcement of plans to take further action against Taiwan if necessary, following a day of war games intended as a warning against “separatist acts.”
