On May 11, the Rwandan Development Board (RDB), in partnership with the Rwandan embassy in Senegal, hosted an exclusive brunch in Dakar, celebrating Africa’s rich cultural heritage and cuisine while fostering economic ties between Rwanda and Senegal.
The event, described as “a momentous culinary affair,” aimed to connect Rwandan investors with their Senegalese counterparts through the Council of Senegalese Investors. The primary focus was to encourage investment in Rwanda’s growing economy, highlighting opportunities in tourism, agriculture, technology, and manufacturing.
Ambassador Jean-Pierre Karabaranga of Rwanda to Senegal welcomed guests, emphasizing the importance of economic collaboration for sustainable development and prosperity in both nations. He noted Rwanda’s commitment to providing a supportive environment for foreign investors, citing the nation’s well-developed infrastructure and investor-friendly policies.

The brunch also featured testimonials from notable Senegalese figures such as film actress Amèlie Mbaye and Victor Ndiaye, president of the Senegalese Club of Investors, who shared their positive experiences in Rwanda.
Their stories underscored Rwanda’s advancements in sectors like sustainable tourism and innovative entrepreneurship, inspiring further interest among Senegalese investors and entrepreneurs to consider Rwanda’s dynamic investment landscape.
