Rwandan singer Bwiza will release her second album, 25 Shades, in Brussels, Belgium, on March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day celebrations.
The KIKAC Music-signed artist announced the launch nearly two years after the release of her debut album, My Dream, which helped establish her as one of Rwanda’s top musicians.
25 Shades, according to Bwiza, is a reflection of her age and the various aspects of her life and musical journey to date.
“Ever since I was young, I used to dream big and set higher goals. With the support of my parents and good leadership, I have been able to achieve them,” she said. “This album is a celebration of everything I’ve achieved, from my youth to where I am today.”
The album launch in Brussels will feature performances from several Rwandan artists, though their names will be confirmed closer to the event. Bwiza also hinted that popular Rwandan artist The Ben might join her for the concert, depending on the outcome of ongoing negotiations. The two recently collaborated on the song “My Best Friend,” which has been a hit since its November release.
Bwiza rose to prominence after winning The Next Diva, a music contest launched by KIKAC Music in 2021 to discover and nurture young female talent. She triumphed over 30 other contestants and was signed by KIKAC Music, where she continues to develop her career under the management of Jean Claude Uhujimfura.
