Thierry Henry stepped down as coach of France’s Under-21 team following their silver medal win at the Olympics earlier this month.
The 47-year-old Henry, whose contract was set to run until next summer, chose to resign after just one year in the role. He described winning the silver medal at the Paris Olympics as one of the greatest achievements of his career.
Henry expressed deep gratitude to the French Football Federation, the players, staff, and supporters who contributed to the successful campaign.
Prior to his role with the France Under-21 squad, Henry served as an assistant coach for Belgium and held managerial positions with Monaco and Major League Soccer’s Montreal Impact.
